Olkkonen.art organizes NEW GRAPHICS COMPETITION V. Yipikayee!

Competition II was quite successful by doubling the participants compared to the competition I. Competition III was not as successfull as II. Competition IV had just GRIGORI hopefully we get more participants for the competition V.

Once upon a time in sfnet group sfnet.atk.grafiikka (ks. https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sfnet) based competitions were quite successful and offered some money, compupic software and music of Björn Lynne. Thank you Marc, where ever you are.

Competition (III) had over TEN images. Results are viewable here — have a peak and enjoy!

Something from history: there were two guys in those historic competitions named Reko Nokkanen (game designer) and graphics artist Manu Järvinen. They have grown to great lengths and are quite professionals today. It has been pleasure to know these guys!

Subject for your graphics is free. 2D, 3D images and composites (photographs included) will be accepted via email juha@olkkonen.art. It is assumed that you use content where you have copyrights. You can use previously published material. By sending the images you accept and give right to use your content on our site. Your images are only used for graphics competition results.

If you don’t have image manipulation program you can download the FREE GIMP-software.

Competition time ends at 1st of november 2022. Remember that you can use already published material for the competition.

Competition V results are now known:

The fifth competition won again GRIGORI TCHABAN. It’s clear that he made the most effort in the competition. Now — this was the last competition and I’m not sure do I still start new competition in the future. Thank you for all who participated and who was following it and have a nice winter and christmas and upcoming new year!

I put it shortly: GRIGORI won the competition with his multiple works. Congratulations! Maybe next time we got more participants?

Now that the competition is over is time to pick up the winner! I must thank all the participants who gave effort to the competition. I tried to make the competition global, but it failed and the amount of images were less than in competition II. Maybe next time we get more people. Okay — now the winner: it seems to me that one of the participants gave the most effort by submitting SEVEN IMAGES. The winner is … GRIGORI TCHABAN! Congratulations GRIGORI it was a pleasure to have you. Now — let’s see when the competition IV starts — it may happen soon. See you there again! Now have a great summer and thank you for following the competition.

Nyt on tullut sitten aika valita grafiikkakilpailun (II) voittaja. Se ei ole aivan helppoa, sillä mukana on mielenkiintoisia tuotoksia. On vain nyt valittava yksi. Toivottavasti olette nauttineet kilpailusta, sen järjestäminen on ollut antoisaa ja on ollut mukava lukea viestejänne ja saada hienoja kuvianne.

Valitsen voittajaksi TUOMAS MÄKELÄN HÄÄKUVAN. Kuvassa on kiva tapahtuma, hieno ja tunnelmallinen ilotulitus ja mielenkiintoinen (low-horizon) perspektiivi.

Kiitos vielä kerran kaikille osallistujille ja onnittelut voittajalle. Tarkoituksena on seuraavaksi järjestää uusi GLOBAALI KILPAILU (englanniksi) ja saada näin mukaan enemmän osallistujia.
